The Rebel 24" Pro is what we build for the riders who've outgrown everything else in the range. 24-inch wheels, 1500W motor, three speed modes peaking at 55 km/h, DNM AO-8RC suspension front and rear. It's for confident, experienced riders aged 12-15 who want serious off-road capability — and parents who want a bike that grows from "supervised first ride" to "let them rip" through the speed-mode system.
Why the Rebel 24" Pro is the top tier
The 1500W brushless motor is genuine performance — 50% more output than the Rebel 20" Pro and three times what the Rippa 20" puts out. That's serious pulling power on hills, real acceleration through soft ground, and the kind of speed that needs proper components to handle safely. The DNM AO-8RC suspension is a step up from the Rebel 20" Pro's already-strong setup — adjustable, race-grade kit that handles the kind of riding a 14-year-old does on dirt.
Three speed modes — 20 km/h, 35 km/h, 55 km/h. Mode 1 is appropriate for a younger or less experienced rider getting used to the extra weight and power. Mode 3 is the top of the Zippi range and the fastest mode any of our bikes offer. The mode switch is on the bike, so parents control the rollout.

We're two motorcycle families behind Zippi — Toby, Carmen, Laura and Mark. We built every bike in the range for our own kids first. They rode prototypes for two years before we sold a single bike in 2018. Eight years on, we still answer the emails ourselves.

Who is the Rebel 24″ Pro for?
Kids aged 12–15 — the biggest bike Zippi makes. 24″ wheels, 1500W motor, three speed modes peaking at 55 km/h, DNM AO-8RC suspension front and rear, hydraulic disc brakes. The Rebel 24″ Pro is for confident, experienced riders who've outgrown 20″ wheels and want serious off-road capability. Most riders come to it from a Rebel 20″ Pro around age 12, or it's a starting point for taller riders who already know what they want.
Rebel 20″ Pro vs Rebel 24″ Pro — what's the difference?
Wheel size and power, mostly. The Rebel 24″ Pro has bigger 24″ wheels for taller riders, a 1500W motor (vs 1000W on the 20″), higher top speed (55 km/h vs 45 km/h), and DNM AO-8RC suspension which is a step up from the 20″ Pro's already-strong setup. Same three-mode speed control, same general riding style — the 24″ is the natural next bike when a kid outgrows the 20″ Pro physically. Most riders are on the 20″ Pro until around age 12, then 24″ Pro from there.
How fast does the Rebel 24″ Pro go?
Three modes: 20 km/h, 35 km/h, 55 km/h. That top speed makes it the fastest bike in the Zippi range — appropriate for the age group (12–15) and the bike's intended use on private property at speed. The three-mode system means parents can start with mode 1 while the rider gets used to the extra power and unlock mode 3 when they're ready.
How long does the battery last per charge?
Around 40–60 minutes of real-world ride time from the 48V 15Ah lithium battery — the highest-capacity pack in the Zippi range, feeding the 1500W motor. Charge time is about 5–6 hours from flat. The battery is removable for charging on the bench, and spares are available in the parts catalogue. For long ride days a spare battery is the usual call.
Can my kid ride the Rebel 24″ Pro on the footpath or street?
No. Like all kids electric balance bikes in Australia, the Rebel 24″ Pro is classified for private property use only. Driveways, back yards, private ovals, designated kids ride parks, off-road trails on private land — all fine. Public roads and footpaths — not legal, not allowed. The 1500W motor and 55 km/h top speed make this firmly an off-road and ride-park bike.
What's next after the Rebel 24″ Pro?
This is the biggest bike Zippi makes. After the Rebel 24″ Pro, riders typically move up to our sister brand FXB — higher-powered kids electric bikes built for teens and beyond. The Rebel 24″ Pro is a multi-year bike for most riders though, so this is a "down the track" question for most families.
What if something breaks?
Every Zippi comes with a 12-month manufacturer warranty. If something fails, you email us at sales@zippi.net.au and a Wilkin family member (one of us four) picks it up. Spare parts ship from our Tasmanian warehouse, usually next-day Australia-wide. No call centre, no Shenzhen middleman. The Rebel 24″ Pro gets ridden seriously hard — we keep deep spares stock for it accordingly.
