01Built for the trail

When the pump track stops being enough.

The Rebel 20 Pro is for the kid who's outgrown the bike park. Front suspension, longer geometry, bigger battery — same trustworthy DNA, more bike under them.

SMOOTH

Front & Rear Suspension that does work.

80mm of travel up front — adult-grade fork, not a token spring. Soaks up trail chatter and pump-track landings without bottoming out. Proper suspension for proper riding.

RIDE

10Ah for the long sessions.

48V 10Ah pack — 90 to 120 minutes of trail riding before the battery cries. Enough for a full day at the trail centre with one swap, or a weekend at the cabin without packing the charger.

SHRED

Built for the dirt, not the driveway.

Knobby off-road tyres, longer wheelbase, slacker geometry. The Rebel goes where the Rippa stops. If your kid's outgrown pump tracks, this is what comes next.

02

The performance kids electric bike. 1000W motor, three speed modes, full front-and-rear suspension. Built for kids who push the bike hard.

The Rebel 20" Pro is what happens when you take the Rippa 20" and engineer it for serious riding. Double the motor power. A third speed mode that gives parents finer-grained control. Front-and-rear suspension instead of just rear. Same 20-inch wheel size, completely different ride. Most riders come to it from the Rippa 16" or Rippa 20" once they've outgrown what a standard balance bike can do.

Why the Rebel 20" Pro is the performance pick

The 1000W brushless motor is the headline — double the output of the Rippa 20". That's not just about top speed; it's about pulling power on hills, acceleration off the line, and confidence going through soft ground. Full front-and-rear suspension matters once a kid is going faster on rougher ground — front fork takes the hit out of bumps before they reach the bars, rear shock keeps the back wheel planted.

Three speed modes (15 km/h, 30 km/h, 45 km/h) make a real difference for parents managing how much performance the kid accesses. Two-mode bikes force a binary choice; three modes mean you can start them slow, unlock a middle gear once they're comfortable, and only unlock the top mode when they're genuinely ready. Hydraulic disc brakes front and rear handle the extra speed.

Why parents pick Zippi

We're two motorcycle families behind Zippi — Toby, Carmen, Laura and Mark. We built every bike in the range for our own kids first. They rode prototypes for two years before we sold a single bike in 2018. Eight years on, we still answer the emails ourselves.

The Rebel 20" Pro is the bike we built for our own kids once they outgrew the Rippas. It gets ridden hard — and we keep deep spares stock for it accordingly.

When something goes wrong, you email an Australian family that owns Zippi bikes themselves. The catchphrase is plain English: raise balanced kids. Bikes are how we do it.

08Common questions

Before you buy.

Sizing, shipping, batteries, warranty. Pulled from real customer emails — full FAQ on its own page.

Who is the Rebel 20″ Pro for?
Kids aged 8–13 who are ready for proper performance — and parents who want adjustable speed limits to grow with the rider. The Rebel 20″ Pro is the step up from the Rippa 20″ — 1000W motor (double the power), three speed modes (15 / 30 / 45 km/h), full front and rear suspension, hydraulic disc brakes. Most riders come to it from the Rippa 16″ or Rippa 20″ when they want to push the bike harder, or it's a first ebike for kids who are already confident riders.
Should I get the Rebel 20″ Pro or the Rippa 20″?
Both are 20″ balance bikes but they serve different riders. The Rippa 20″ is the standard option — 500W, 40 km/h, rear suspension only, two speed modes. The Rebel 20″ Pro is the performance step up — 1000W, 45 km/h, full front and rear suspension, three speed modes (the lowest is 15 km/h so very controllable for younger or less experienced riders). If your kid is going to ride hard off-road or wants room to grow into more power, Rebel 20″ Pro. If they're a mellow cruiser type, Rippa 20″.
How fast does the Rebel 20″ Pro go?
Three modes: 15 km/h, 30 km/h, 45 km/h. That extra speed mode (vs the two-mode Rippa range) makes a real difference for parents managing how much performance a younger rider can access. Most parents start their kid in mode 1 (15 km/h) and unlock mode 2 (30 km/h) within a few weeks. Mode 3 (45 km/h) usually waits until the kid has been confident on mode 2 for a while.
How long does the battery last per charge?
Around 45–60 minutes of real-world ride time from the 36V 10.0Ah lithium battery — high-capacity pack to feed the 1000W motor. Charge time is about 4 hours from flat. The battery is removable for charging on the bench, and spares are available in the parts catalogue. Worth carrying a spare on longer ride days because the 1000W motor uses charge faster than the Rippa range.
Can my kid ride the Rebel 20″ Pro on the footpath or street?
No. Like all kids electric balance bikes in Australia, the Rebel 20″ Pro is classified for private property use only. Driveways, back yards, private ovals, designated kids ride parks, off-road trails on private land — all fine. Public roads and footpaths — not legal, not allowed. At 45 km/h top speed, proper off-road and ride park use is the intended environment.
What's next after the Rebel 20″ Pro?
Two paths depending on the rider's size. If they want more performance, the Rebel 24″ Pro is the top of the Zippi range — 1500W motor, three modes up to 55 km/h, DNM AO-8RC suspension, 24″ wheels. For older or bigger riders who've outgrown what Zippi covers, our sister brand FXB takes over with higher-powered kids electric bikes for teens. Plenty of families ride a Rebel 20″ Pro for two or three years before they need to step up.
What if something breaks?
Every Zippi comes with a 12-month manufacturer warranty. If something fails, you email us at sales@zippi.net.au and one of us four family members picks it up. Spare parts ship from our Tasmanian warehouse, usually next-day Australia-wide. The Rebel 20″ Pro gets ridden hard — we keep deeper spare stock for it for that reason.
How does the Rebel 20″ Pro compare to other kids electric bikes?
The Rebel 20″ Pro sits in a relatively uncrowded part of the market — most Australian kids ebike brands stop at the Rippa-class single-suspension level. The closest premium comparison is the Stacyc 20eDRIVE Brushless ($4,299 AUD), which has a strong brushless drivetrain but only rear suspension and no three-mode speed limiting. The Rebel 20″ Pro adds front-and-rear suspension and a finer-grained speed lockout — the performance step up that doesn't exist at the standard 20″ price point. For full Zippi-vs-Stacyc specs, see our comparison guide.
