Zippi Ride control module replacement

The control module is the brain of the bike — it talks to the battery, the throttle, and the motor. If yours has failed (no throttle response, intermittent power, error pattern on the lights), the replacement is straightforward with the right parts and a quiet half hour.

What this guide covers

  • Disconnecting the battery before any electrical work
  • Locating the control module on the Zippi Ride
  • Identifying and disconnecting the wiring harness
  • Fitting the replacement module and reconnecting cleanly
  • Powering up and testing before handing the bike back

What you'll need

  • A replacement control module — order from our spares and accessories page
  • Allen keys (included with your original bike)
  • About 20 minutes

Before you start

Battery must be disconnected for the whole job. Take a photo of the wiring before you disconnect anything — connectors are colour-coded but a reference photo saves time on reassembly. If you're unsure, email us a photo of your bike and we'll talk you through the right module.
