Setting up your Zippi Rippa Bike

The Rippa is a bigger, faster machine than the Ride 10" — pump-track ready out of the box. Setup is straightforward but worth doing properly: a Rippa that's been set up right rides better and lasts longer.

What this guide covers

  • Unboxing and inventory check
  • Fitting the front wheel and handlebars
  • Installing the seat post and getting the height right for your kid
  • Fitting the removable battery
  • First charge and pre-ride checks
  • Testing the throttle limiter on the slow setting

What you'll need

  • The Allen keys included in the box
  • A flat space to work — garage floor or driveway
  • A power outlet for the first battery charge
  • About 20 minutes

Key tips

  • Charge to full before the first ride — sets the battery up for a long life
  • Start every new rider on the slower throttle setting
  • Helmet on, even for the test ride in the driveway
  • Adjust the seat so they can plant feet flat at standstill — confidence-first
